29km from Oudtshoorn, at the head of the picturesque Cango Valley, lie the spectacular underground wonder of the Klein Karoo – the Cango Caves. Situated in a limestone ridge parallel to the well known Swartberg Mountains, you will find the finest dripstone caverns, with their vast halls and towering formations.
Cango Caves is the only show cave in Africa which offers a choice of Heritage (easy) or Adventure Tours. All tours are lead by experienced, knowledgeable and accredited Caves Guides. All tours are offered in English but Afrikaans, German, French and other language options may be available.
Monkeyland is the worlds first free roaming multi-specie primate sanctuary. It’s mission is to educate and foster greater understanding of our primate cousins and the threats and challenges they are facing.

Birds of Eden
Birds of Eden’s unique two hectare dome (the world’s largest) spans over a gorge of indigenous forest. Currently it is home to over 3,500 birds from over 220 species, with the main focus being African birds. Visits to Birds of Eden are usually self-guided, however guided walks are offered on request.
Birds of Eden is home to about 220 different types of birds, and more than 3500 birds live in the sanctuary. Our award winning bird sanctuary provides a forever home where previously caged birds can live a life of free-flight in a habitat as large and natural as is possible.
At Jukani our mission is to maintain and manage a sustainable wildlife sanctuary, with the focus on creating widespread awareness about the plight of large predators in captivity, in South Africa and all over the world.
Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary is home to big cats such as lions (white and tawny), cheetahs, tigers (Siberian, Bengal and white), leopard (spotted and black), jaguar, pumas, caracal, serval cats and other wildlife species such as zebra, wild dog, springbuck, zorilla, honey badger, raccoons and various snake species (which are housed separately).

Outeniqua Transport Museum
Experience a day down memory lane, visit the Outeniqua Transport Museum in George where you can see many different old steam trains. Inside the museum a variety of 13 steam locomotives, including a narrow gauge, the Emil Kessler- Johannesburg’s first steam locomotive, the impressive GL Garrett together with carriages from a bygone era, such as a coach from the Royal Train of 1947, Paul Kruger’s coach and private saloons, just to name a few, are on display.
Various models of steam locomotives, a brilliant collection of steam locomotive number plates, makers plates, a model train room, road motor vehicles and a private vintage car selection complete the exhibition.
